welCome

let's get you married!

I'm Shelley, and I help couples cut through the wedding noise to create ceremonies that feel authentically yours - with guidance and resources to support you every step of the way.

I believe your ceremony should be the heart of your day - not something to rush through to get to the party. I'm so happy you've found me, and I can't wait to connect with you and hear your story.

your ceremony should be the heart of your day, not something to rush through to get to the party.

Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming. There are so many expectations, traditions, and "shoulds" that it's easy to lose sight of what actually matters to you.

I believe your ceremony should be the heart of your day - not something to rush through to get to the party. Whether you're having 10 guests or 100, whether you want to honour traditions or write your own, I'm here to help you create something that feels real, intentional, and uniquely yours.

As your celebrant, I'll work with you to craft a ceremony that tells your story in a way that's genuine and meaningful. No cookie-cutter scripts, no cringe-worthy clichés - just the two of you, your love, and the words that matter.

And because I know wedding planning can be confusing, I'll also provide you with practical resources and clear guidance to help you navigate the whole process with confidence.

“Shelley was absolutely incredible for our wedding, she is extremely personable and professional.

She led us through the legal side of marriage with confidence, and crafted the perfect customised ceremony just for us.

Our day was so fun and full of love, and we couldn't have asked for a better celebrant to marry us!”

"From start to finish, Shelley you were wonderful. We couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant.

You listened to exactly what we wanted, and helped us along when we needed it.

You were warm, funny, and felt like family by the time our wedding day came around."

Thank you so much."

"Where do we begin? Shelley was beyond incredible, from the moment we first met her to when we said “I do.”

She was so warm, bubbly, full of helpful tips and made the whole process absolutely seamless. Shelley was able to tailor our ceremony to fit our personalities perfectly, which just made our day even more than we could have dreamt of.

Our guests are still talking about how beautiful our ceremony was. We wish we could do it all again the exact same way."

let's talk

Let's have a conversation about your wedding and see if we're the right fit.

  • Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

  • How far in advance should I book?

I recommend booking 6-12 months in advance, especially for peak wedding season (September-May).

That said, I understand that sometimes plans come together quickly - I can often accommodate shorter timeframes, so reach out even if your wedding is just a few weeks away.

The legal requirement is that we lodge your Notice of Intended Marriage at least one month before your ceremony, but I'm happy to work with tighter timelines when needed.

  • Do you charge for initial consultations?

No, your first consultation is completely complimentary with no obligation. This is a chance for us to meet (in person, over video, or by phone - whatever works for you), talk about your plans, and see if we're the right fit.

I want you to feel completely comfortable with your choice of celebrant, so there's absolutely no pressure.

Think of it as a relaxed chat over coffee where we get to know each other and you can ask me anything you'd like.

  • What documents do we need to get married?

    You'll need to provide:

    • Proof of date and place of birth (birth certificate or passport)
    • Photo ID (driver's licence or passport)
    • If you've been married before: proof that marriage ended (divorce papers or death certificate)

If your birth certificate is in another language, you'll need a NAATI-certified translation.

We also need to complete your Notice of Intended Marriage at least one month and one day before your wedding.

Don't worry - I'll guide you through all of this step-by-step and make sure you have everything sorted well before your big day.

  • How long is a typical ceremony?

Most ceremonies run between 20-30 minutes, which is the sweet spot for keeping your guests engaged while still having time for meaningful content.

Ultimately, the length depends on what you want to include - I'll work with you to find the right balance.

  • How do I know which package is right for me?

Ask yourself: Do you want a simple legal ceremony to make it official, or do you want a ceremony that tells your story and feels uniquely yours?

    Choose The Essentials if:

    • You're eloping or having a very small, intimate gathering
    • You prefer minimal fuss
    • You're keeping it simple and short
    • Budget is a primary concern
    • You just need the legal requirements covered

    Choose Your Story if:

    • You want your ceremony to feel personal and meaningful
    • You'd like your love story told
    • You want help with vows
    • You appreciate guidance and support throughout planning
    • Your ceremony is an important part of your day (not just a formality)

Still not sure? Let's chat! I'll help you figure out what's right for you with no obligation.
